Since its inception, Veterans Housing Scotland has had a long and proud history and tradition having helped around 4,500 disabled veterans.    The charity has grown and supported those military veterans and their families in need of housing.

Tenancy Sustainment Service

While the demand, range and complexity of housing has changed over the last 109 years, we recognise that some of our tenants need additional support to lead fulfilling lives in positive and secure environments.

We recently introduced our Tenancy Sustainment Service.  This initiative is designed to help break down barriers and to empower beneficiaries to have the confidence to help themselves.

We recently commissioned research which has shown that awareness of the wonderful work we do is very low. There is a wonderful story to tell and everyone is keen to share it.

25 new homes by 2025

VHS is, for the first time, running a campaign designed to share our story.  The ’25 by 25’ campaign features two beneficiaries, Hayden and Ros, who have both had their lives changed since being introduced to Veterans Housing Scotland.

We are thrilled to be able to include TV Presenter Lorraine Kelly who is passionate about both Scotland and the military among our ambassadors.

My advice to anyone finding themself in a similar position is not to be afraid to ask for help.  My life has definitely changed for the better since meeting Veterans Housing Scotland.
