Through the Inverness Highland City Region Deal and in partnership with Albyn Housing, NHS Highland and Highland Council, we will provide additional homes in Inverness for disabled veterans.

It is anticipated that the four new homes will be ready in April/May 2022, and we are seeking veterans now who may be interested in being involved with this pilot project. Those interested should contact Veterans Housing Scotland for more information.

The Fit Homes are 1-bedroom accessible units and have the digital and technological support to assist people to live independently for longer. Various sensors can be installed in the properties, tracking day/night-time activity in all rooms, and this can be monitored by family/carers/NHS receivers.

Veterans will need to have a support person/network to support them through data sharing and who are happy to share that data as part of the pilot project and complete a Fit Home Referral Nomination Form.

These homes are part of a unique partnership with Albyn Housing which will manage the houses and the tenancy with exclusive nomination rights provided to Veterans Housing Scotland.
