Chief Executive

Kevin Gray

Kevin joined Veterans Housing Scotland in September 2018, having been the Chief Executive of the Royal British Legion Scotland.

Kevin served for 26 years in the Scots Guards in various roles in Iraq, Northern Ireland, the USA, Canada and Kenya, to name but a few.

Kevin's role at the helm of Veterans Housing Scotland enables his strategic overview, meticulous planning and management to establish and develop the organisation as Scotland's leading charity providing affordable quality homes for veterans who are disabled.

Kevin is supported by a dedicated and professional team at Central Office who work tirelessly with our Repairs Maintenance Teams to coordinate the services to maintain quality homes and, when needed, provide an effective solution to the wellbeing and support needs of the Veterans Housing Scotland family.

"The value to others, of what we do at Veterans Housing Scotland can never be underestimated. I believe providing veterans and their families with a home to make their own is one of the critical things that can make a difference in a family's lives. Exciting new priorities have been set for the charity to create a consistent and robust support base for Veterans in need in Scotland.  Veterans Housing Scotland's new drive to ensure its extended family's overall wellbeing and happiness mean that building lives and communities is more important now than it has ever been.

"I am proud to be part of the leadership of the Veterans Housing Scotland family, particularly at a time when strategic change and policy are being planned and delivered.  Our Team ensures that our veterans and their families receive the very best support when and where needed."

Support Team

The Support Team which Stephen Elliot leads, includes our Visiting Officers and staff involved in our application and allocation process.

Their collective focus is on tenancy sustainment and working with our partners across the country to ensure that our tenants and their families are supported and able to live their best lives.

Our presence grows with recognition of the enormous part the charity plays in providing affordable homes to veterans and their families and when required, becomes the conduit for the wellbeing and support requirements of veterans in need.

About us
DAniel

I feel part of a broader family with the communication and support from Veterans Housing Scotland. I appreciate them keeping in touch and offering advice and updates as necessary.  A letter from the Chief Executive during the Covid-19 crisis was a nice touch and reassured us that help was available should any of us need it.
